A New Look at Mod Ornaments

Thanks to Cleta R., a member of our Facebook Mod Ornaments stitching group,  I now have some very nice photos to share of this design done in traditional Christmas colors.  Sandy Arthur adapted her stitch guide for those students interested in an alternate to the painted pink and green color scheme, choosing threads in a red/green/gold collection.  Cleta has been busy stitching and has two ornaments completed:

Just wonderful! Cleta did a great job stitching and Sandy outdid herself coming up with a conversion that completely transforms the original canvas.  Kudos to you both!

My friend Connie has hers nearly complete and in the pink/green original color scheme:

Such fun!  I am still plugging away on mine, hopefully I'll have it done in time for this Christmas!

More West Coast Finishing!

Here are a couple more cute finishes for you, this is my Harvest Owl, mounted on top of a finial.  Thanks so much to West Coast for the photo! This is the first time I have seen one finished like this-- I like it!

This is my Garden Party Heart, stitched by Sue of West Coast Finishing.  I am so happy that she finds some time to stitch for herself, and that she picked one of my designs too!  Notice that she had it beautifully framed-- if I were a finisher, I'd probably have my stuff framed too-- I mean, no one wants to do their own finishing, right?

Finishing-- Oldies But Goodies!

Such a cute batch of finishing today! Pat T. has been keeping West Coast Finishing busy lately, check out this great finish of Santa Baby, part of my Cats in Hats holiday series:

FYI, both this one and a companion design, Witchie Poo, have stitch guides by Vicki DeAngelis!

That's not all Pat has been up to, she also has two more from my Pumpkin Patch series:

Love the way these came out!  Thanks so much to Pat for stitching these and to Sue Parsons at West Coast for sharing her photos.

Summertime!

I have yet another upcoming class to tell you about this week, this one is also coming up in September, and everyone will be able to attend this one, as it is an online class given by Cyberpointers, ANG's online chapter.  My "Summer Wonderful" Humbug will be the chapter program for the September meeting.  This is the largest of my humbug designs to date, large enough that it can be used as a frame weight if you wish.  It's loaded with fun stitches that are transformed into summer-themed motifs using color and has tons of embellishments too.

Photographing a humbug is always challenge as it's funny shape has so many sides!  This is the topmost side:

And this is the view from the side:

Hope you can join us in September!  Please click here if you would like more information about Cyberpointers. It's a perfect way to join ANG if you don't have a chapter nearby and if you are already a member of ANG, adding a Cyberpointers membership is very easy to do!
