More Fox Stitch Guides!

Ruth Schmuff has written guides for and kitted up my other two fox designs too-- here is a look at the Summer Fox:

I am really loving those variegated silks on the bottom left-- someone hurry and stitch this one, I want to see what those will look like!!

Last but not least (and my personal favorite of the four) is the Spring Fox:

More gorgeous silks for this one, plus look at the silk ribbon/sequin combo for the flowers-- those will be gorgeous!

Meanwhile, at least one person is already stitching up a storm on the Winter Fox-- this is Caroline's progress so far:

I really like the fur, which is all in Very Velvet.  She's saving the best for last-- the snowflake embellishments!  Looks like she will be done in no time!  Stay tuned for updates, and Happy Stitching!

New Stitch Guides Available Now!

Ruth Schmuff has worked her stitching magic on all four of my new fox canvases!  Here is a look at the thread kit for Winter Fox:

The Very Velvet is going to make such nice fox fur, and of course Water N'Ice will make for a perfect snowbank as well.  Plus, look at all those sequins!!

Fall Fox is going to get the Boucle' treatment, along with some sparkles:

Here's a look at the whole goody box of all four canvases with kits and guides that just went out to a very enthusiastic customer:

Looks so yummy that I want to order one for myself! :)

Trunk Show at Chaparral Needlepoint in Houston

My trunk show models made their way home from Fancy Stitches in Cleburne, TX and are now in residence over at Chaparral Needlepoint right here in Houston, as part of the Ruth Schmuff trunk show they currently have.  Hope you get a chance to stop by for a look, there's lots of oldies but goodies, like Glamour Puss,  pictured below.

Canvas of the Week: Celebrating Summer!

After last winter, I think we are all grateful for summer weather, even here in Houston, Texas, where it is SERIOUSLY hot!  Although officially summer doesn't start until Saturday, I thought I would feature these two floral designs, both of which capture the essence of the season.

Another Lovely Garden Party!

I thought I would show off yet another Garden Party Heart finish, this one also in a terrific frame. Love the matching pink and orange detail on the box frame.  Congrats to Catherine Stroup on her finish, great stitching!

It's a Mystery-Mystery!

UPDATE!  It didn't take long to find out the identity of our mystery Mystery class stitcher-- this wonderful piece belongs to Mary Jane Jenkins!  Great job Mary Jane, thanks for sharing!

Mystery finishing, that is!  I am usually very good about documenting stitcher/finisher information for EyeCandy designs, but this one slipped through the cracks somehow.  Please take a look at this lovely version of my Garden Party Heart, which was a Ruth Schmuff Mystery class a couple years back (making it a mystery Mystery!) and if you are the stitcher or know who is, please leave your information in the comments. Thanks so much!

New Designs For Summer 2014

Here they are, my new canvases that I hinted about a few posts back!  As I mentioned then, foxes are everywhere lately, and here are mine-- a set of four designs with a seasonal theme and EyeCandy colors:

Spring Fox

Summer Fox

Winter Fox

Fall Fox

These foxy fellows are all 5.5" x 7.5" on 18 count canvas.

Owls still continue to be popular, so I made an addition to my line of character owls-- here he is, the Cowboy Owl!

Like the other owls in the collection, he is 4 x 7 on 18 count.

Hope you all like these,  I will have more new designs for you come mid-summer!

Trunk Show at Fancy Stitches!

If you happen to be around Cleburne, Texas anytime in the next couple of weeks, please do stop by the fabulous needlework shop there, Fancy Stitches.  The wonderful ladies who run this shop are just the best, and they have been terrific customers of mine for years now.  I was finally able to visit the shop and meet them all recently during a needlepoint retreat I attended and it was even better than I had imagined!  So many wonderful stitched models, all of them things that make you want to stitch them NOW!
And speaking of stitched models, I left them four boxes of my stitched models, which they will have on display for a couple of more weeks.  I do hope you can stop by and see them, and please tell the gals there hello for me!

Here are pictures of just a few of my designs they have stitched themselves for the shop-- my Jack O Lantern Topiary:

Alpine Heart-- this one is in a lovely frame hanging behind the counter:

Please excuse the quality on these two, I took them with my cell phone.  This is my Pastel Puzzle design that they stitched on hand dyed canvas in lime (top) and lilac (bottom):

Please see also my previous post about Fancy Stitches for even more fabulously stitched and finished EyeCandy designs: So Many Models!

Additionally, I'd like to mention that Fancy Stitches carries a big variety of hand dyed needlepoint canvas.  I have had several customers mention that it has been hard to find some of the color canvases that I have used in some of my designs, so I urge you to give Fancy Stitches a call, they are happy to send you what you need!
