Unconventional EyeCandy!

Some unconventional stitching & finishing today!  Would you believe Linda C. is going to make my "Snow White Collage" into a stocking topper?  It will be amazing & I can't wait to see it when it comes back from the finisher!  Great stitching Linda!!

Meredith R. stitched my "Dark Shadows - Witch Moon" and left the Bargello patterned moon unstitched, which I think is both brilliant & daring!  Plus, the folks that hand-paint these canvases will be happy to see their great detail work on display!

Valentine's Week Full of Hearts!

Two really great finishes turned up recently.  This first one is my Bargello Hearts from the J/F 2017 issue of Needlepoint Now, turned into a great vinyl tool tote!

This one is really wonderful, my Floating Hearts canvas was rescued from an estate sale, already partially stitched.  The buyer completed the stitching and then had it finished into this dreamy pillow!

Another New Club!

Needle Orts in Altamonte Springs, Fl is teaching my Bejeweled Bargello series as a series of monthly classes in the shop, though they are accepting ghosts as well.  A choice of colors is available and even a choice of fabric-- canvas, Congress cloth and even linen! The first class is January 27th.  Give them a call at 877 869 0078 for more details.

Hey Y'all!

My friend Sandy stitched my "Hey Y'all" Texas state ornament and turned it into a frame-able piece by adding a background and a great border using a color coordinated variegated thread.  It really turned out great!

And speaking of ornaments, here's a big batch of Bejeweled Bargello ornaments fresh from TJ's finishing:

Bargello Hearts in Needlepoint Now!

The Jan/Feb 2017 issue of Needlepoint Now features my newest design, Bargello Hearts.  It's a fun to stitch canvas work piece using delicious colors of Silk & Ivory thread, accented with some sequins and crystals, of course.  The finished design is the perfect size for a tool tote pouch as shown here.

Fabulous Fall Finishing!

So many great finishes to show off today, including a County Fair winner!  It is that time of year, Fall and Fair season too, such fun!

First up is my friend Emily's beautiful finish of my Bejeweled Bargello ornament.  Beautiful stitching by Emily, then great finishing from the Chaparral here in Houston.

Gayle at Fancy Stitches completed my Gift Elf, this little gal is the spitting image of her granddaughter Peyton!  Great job on this, I love the background!

Lisa C. entered three of her completed Stars from the Stitch a Falling Star club and won three ribbons at the Austin County Fair-- Grand, Reserve and High Point!  Congrats to you Lisa, they are great!

It's been a while since I've seen a new finish from my Candy Corn Club, this one was shared by Louise's Needlework and it is gorgeous!

Last but not least, Debbie L. stitched my Cowboy Owl and sent it to TJ's for the truly fab finishing, love the styling on that pillow!

That's it for this week, keep those great pictures coming in, I love to show off your work!!

A Good Week For Finishes!

Some really great finishing photos today, it's been a prolific week for EyeCandy!

This one is courtesy of Jermies Needlepoint, and it is my favorite, because it is so different!!  This is my Vintage Skull Halloween Pail, but stitched in orange, who would have thought? I love it, I may have to stitch it again like this one!

Here's the original-- so different!  The orange color totally works on this though!

Rachel G. just got my Hoot Owl Trio back from New Creation Picture Framing and it is amazing!

Sherrin E.'s Caribbean Waves ornament is back from TJ's Finishing, love it!

Love this finish, also by TJ's, of my Stars N' Stripes canvas:

Not the only one of my stars to be finished by TJ's lately, here's Susan B.'s Halloween Star:

It's Still All About the Bargello!

Yep, this club has temporarily taken over my life lately, assembling dozens and dozens of embellishing packs filled with beads, crystals and sequins is quite a task!  Sharing today the official print ad for Bejeweled Bargello from the latest issue of Needlepoint Now, and getting back on the assembly line!

Bejeweled Bargello Club Craziness!

Well, not crazy-crazy, just a little crazy, collating the extra copies I've had printed of Ornament #1 in my new Bejeweled Bargello club that starts in May!  Orders have exceeded what I initially estimated so now I'm putting together the extra charts and bead kits.  Still on track for a May launch, that's the important thing!

And yes, that is the actual stitched ornament tucked over to the right, I've still yet to get them off to the finishers! I decided to hang on to them until after all of the chart work was done.

It's not too late if you would like to sign up, just send me an email at ada@eyecandyneedleart.com for all the details!

Bejeweled Bargello Ornament Club Starts in May!

I have a new club starting next month, you may have seen the ad pictured below in the latest issue of Needlepoint Now.  This club is a little different, it is charted needlepoint rather than painted canvas.  Once a month you will receive a full color chart, instructions and a packet of beads and embellishments, including many Swarovski crystals.  You will provide the canvas and threads, and the thread list will include alternate color choices for those who like a more traditional red and green color scheme.  I will also include embellishments to match the red/green versions when needed.  There are 12 ornaments in the series, plus a bonus 13th ornament that is free!

Please email me at ada@eyecandyneedleart.com or call me at 682-233-5377 if you would like more details or to sign up!  The first chart pack ships the first week in May!

Well That Was Fast!!

Can you believe that my friend and stitcher extraordinaire Pat W. has already stitched the free chart I offered last Saturday?  And she sent me the photo on Sunday, so I expect she completed it probably before the ink was dry on the print-out!  She said she whipped it up with stuff she had laying around, which totally sums up what a fun stitcher she is, I think.  This is the kind of great stuff that's laying around at her place:

So elegant I think!  Perfect for a black and white themed Christmas tree or it totally works for a Halloween ornament as well. Love it, thanks so much Pat for sharing!  Anyone else who stitches this please send a picture my way, I'd love to see!
