Two More CandyLand Christmas Finishes!

Wow!  Everyone seems to have finished their CandyLand Christmas Tree Forest canvas except for me!  Well, there is a benefit to being a straggler, I get to see how everyone else has finished theirs, so can make the most "informed" decision when I finish mine.  However, at this point after seeing so many options I think I've changed my mind a half-dozen times already!  It may come down to a coin toss eventually, lol!

Here is a great box finish shared by Good Harbor Needlepoint, note those candy feet!

And here is a great framed version by Mary G.-- love those little candies on the matting!

Hope you all had a terrific Memorial Day, thanks for stopping by!

A Little Bit of Finishing

I haven't shared finishing photos with you for a while, here's a few I received from Pat W. recently.  She stitched my Harvest Puzzle and found the best Vera Bradley tote to attach it to:

The color match to the bag is just perfect, I love it!

These two Atomic ornaments are stitched and now currently at the finishers, I'll show them off again when they come back.  In the meantime, you can get a good look at Pat's lovely stitching:

Great work Pat & thanks for sharing your photos with us!

Update on Princess and the Pea, my Stitcherie Project

I haven't shown you my the stitching I did in April and May for my Stitcherie project, Princess and the Pea.

For April, the clue was "three" so I stitched the pink mattress in three stitches with three threads.  May's clue was "topsy-turvy" so I stitched the mattress on the top, with Vineyard Silk and beads:

Here's a look at the whole canvas so far-- getting to the halfway mark already!

Meadowlark Cuff Bracelet in May/June Needlepoint Now

Meadowlark Cuff, the latest in my series of cuff bracelets for Needlepoint Now magazine appears in the current issue, which should already be on its way to your mailboxes and local shops.  Here are are some detail photos for you to help you along the way to stitching it!

This is the completed design, flat and before finishing:

This is a detail of the crystal filagree embellishments.  It seems that Swarovski has discontinued the filagree in the center motif.  The round ones are still available and you could easily add one of those to the center, or substitute any pretty "sparkly" of your choosing that fits the space.

Here is  a detail post-finishing, showing how the snap closures are added into the decorative Square Jessica stitches on the ends:

And here it is as finished!

Hope you will enjoy stitching this one!  Any questions please do contact me here on the blog, and be sure to send me your photos!
